Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student had another Biology Assessment. I believe the student needs help processing the extreme amount of information she's getting in school, like helping her find strategies to manage it all and to recall it during tests."
"Today, the student practiced all parts of the SSAT using practice tests. We discussed areas that need additional work and completed practice problems together. Math was a bit harder for him than all other parts. He did very well on the vocabulary and the essay."
"The student and I reviewed Chapters 2 and 3 from her book for her exam next Friday. We started off with the adjoint method for determining the inverse of matrices, then solved for determinants with cofactor expansion and practiced Cramer's rule. I also provided her with some homework solutions, and we went through a few of the problems together."
"We continued working on inequalities, but this time working with two variables instead of one. We graphed the inequality and shaded the side of the line that the solution set resides in. We also talked a bit about a biology project she was assigned on Down Syndrome. She has to create a model and do a short write up, citing sources. We talked about some basic information on DS, what kind of model she may want to do, and also brainstormed some points that we thought would look good in the report."
"The student has a Trigonometry exam tomorrow, so we reviewed six sections that will be covered. We looked over and discussed homework questions and textbook questions. She understood the topics and is confident about her ability to do well on the exam."
