"Today we talked about how to rent a room, a house or an apartment, and also what kind of bad or good experience we had in the past. We covered the Conditional: What would you do, if.... We also watched an video about the production of olives and olive oil in Spain."
"This session focused on one homework assignment which was how to conjugate irregular verbs in the preterite tense. The student will need some review on vocabulary and conjugating verbs. As an assignment, I wrote down all the verbs from her homework and made a vocabulary sheet so she can learn the definitions of these words by the next time we meet (only about 15 words)."
"The student was prepared with a writing sample using the past tense narration (preterit and imperfect). For this week's session, she studied for her Unit 1 exam. We covered her unit specific vocabulary with several dictations in Spanish. The pronoun 'se' was used in examples at the doctor's office and in exercises. Also, the conjugation of adverbs was discussed and modeled in original sentences. Finally, 3 short authentic readings were annotated to assess her reading comprehension skill. I suggested that she look over how to form adverbs and their unique position in sentences. Secondly, I highlighted pertinent vocabulary that would most likely be assessed on her unit exam. For next week's session, she will prepare a short 1-2 min oral presentation on the images found in her course text pg. 54-55."
"We covered reflexive verbs and stem-changers. The student is now making A's in his class. I left him with tips on how to remember the difference between usted and nosotros. I have no concerns for this session."
"We worked on flashcards for each of the four verbs that the student needs to improve on, and we practiced putting together sentences using each of them. We also used vocabulary she's been working with in school, such as school supplies, adjectives describing people, and activities."
