Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over his review packet. We went over limits and how to solve them both graphically and analytically."
"We prepared for the upcoming final exam in pre-calculus by going over problems involving various topics including, parabolas, ellipses, the laws of sines and cosines, and simple harmonic motion. The student was very receptive, and by the end of the session, he was able to solve the problems correctly."
"Today we have done a review for the student's Final Exam. We solved trig equations on specified intervals, graphed trig functions by transformations, determined a period of trig functions given by its equation, solved applications problems using Law of Sines And Law of Cosines, evaluated the length of the arc, graphed inverse trig functions, determined trig functions in particular quadrants with a given value of one of the other six trig functions, and reviewed Pythagorean Identity and how to use it in proving identity or simplifying trig expression."
"The student and I had a productive session and wrapped up his homework covering polar/rectangular form of complex numbers."
"We started to review for the student's math final. Firstly, we went over complex polynomial functions. Specifically, we discussed how to find vertical asymptotes, holes, x-intercepts, and y-intercepts. Secondly, we went over how to simplify and solve logarithmic functions. Thirdly, we discussed circles and how to complete the square. Lastly, we went over how to find arithmetic and geometric sequences. She has a good understanding of the concepts. Once we covered the material, she quickly remembered how to approach the various problems. Overall, it was a very productive session."
"We worked on combinations and probability. The student is doing well with combinations. We also looked at ray diagrams for her Physics class."
