Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed material from her French class for her upcoming test; we discussed the verb aimer, basic negation, conjugation of essential verbs, pronunciation, pastimes, and à and de with definite articles."
"Yesterday, the student and I did a little review from our previous session and then added quite a bit of new material. Although it had been a full week since her last lesson, I could tell she had been practicing, and she impressed me with how much she retained. She told me she had been doing some supplemental exercises, which is great! I left her with a few activities to work on for next time."
"We worked on the student's homework exercises. We reviewed the conjugation of verb types and new vocabulary from chapter 10."
"Today we went over the homework that he did last night. We focused on descriptive adjectives and adjectives opposites. We also discussed German history as the student expressed interest in how some of the German words have changed in meaning over the years. The student is very receptive to new material and is great at making his own observations."
"We held this session in a museum. We went over the words for colours and applied them to some paintings there, and we talked a bit about the weather and some of the things we could see from the balcony. It was our best session yet!"
"We looked at articles that the student had translated and discussed some aspects of pronunciation. We also covered miscellaneous chit-chat (in German!), which I find very helpful."
