LSAT Tutoring review by Ryan in Duval County, FL
The student and I began by working through a complete logical reasoning section. His accuracy is much improved - at about 80 percent now. He has a much better understanding of the question types and how to attack them. His pacing is a bit behind, and he tends to lose a bit of focus towards the end of the section. We talked about ways to increase his endurance and went over the questions he missed in detail. We also went through a practice reading comprehension passage. His pacing is further behind in this section, and his accuracy is currently at about 50 percent. We talked about some ways to improve his pacing while also using some of the logical reasoning strategies to increase his accuracy.

LSAT Tutoring review by Elana in Duval County, FL
The student and I reviewed the problems he missed of a math practice set that he completed. He seems to be gaining more skills, but is doubting himself when faced with similar problems. We reviewed work/rate problems and the strategy for solving those types of problems, and he will continue to practice those on his own. We went over his essay and I thought he did a great job! He said that he went over the time, however, so now we are working on making sure that he writes the essay in the appropriate time frame. For homework he is going to take a practice test to see where he is in terms of progress.

LSAT Tutoring review by Reed in Duval County, FL
The student and I started by discussing what his goals and timetable were. Then, we went on to review a selection of problems that we designated to ascertain where the areas were in which we wanted to do the most work. After a run of going through such problems, we focused in on problems involving exponents and radicals, and problems involving geometry. We discussed other, related algebra formulas and some general test-taking strategy and decided upon an appropriate selection of homework and a second meeting time.

LSAT Tutoring review by Carl in Duval County, FL
The student and I started with a brief discussion of the work he's done so far, the things he feels he's learned from his course, and his goals for this last week of tutoring before the test. He feels he's still missing assumption family questions that he could get. We started there, going through about 9 or 10 that were drawn from all the major types. Then we took a look at a selection game with a number of interesting features that could show up in a game on test day.

LSAT Tutoring review by Julian in Duval County, FL
The student and I worked first worked on games, and I reminded him to always keep in mind that mastering the scenarios can be very helpful. We then proceeded to review some of the question types that we have already learned about. He is definitely getting better at the analysis. Next time, we will begin with reading comprehension.

LSAT Tutoring review by Quincy in Duval County, FL
After briefly getting to know each other, the student and I went over various lessons from one of the workbooks that she's been working out of. The lessons were about getting the student to describe who, what, and where, and use quantitative endings and appropriate articles per the gender of the object. She told me that flashcards really work when helping her to remember things, so we will both come up with some flashcards to help drill certain concepts into her mind.
