Louisville, KY GRE tutoring
In our last session, the student and I worked on some specific quantitative questions that he had issues with. He seemed to understand almost all of them once we went over them and I believe he is well prepared for his upcoming GRE. We focused a good portion of our time reviewing the data interpretation type questions, as it was the section he had several issues with. I wish him the best of luck on his GRE Friday!

The student and I concluded our tutoring together with a wide review of many quantitative topics. We started with a few trouble spots that he had identified during the week, those being sequences and absolute value. We worked through problems of varying difficulty for those topics, and I felt like he had a good grasp of problem solving strategies for them. I then compiled a difficult problem set ranging across algebra and arithmetic. He did very well on these last questions, and was able to adjust his strategies in the areas that he was a bit weaker. I think that he will greatly improve from his previous attempt at the GRE when he takes it in two weeks.

We started on Geometry this lesson after a few complex factoring problems. The student is at the ground level on geometry and will need to spend some time doing as many problems as he can in his personal study sessions to apply all of the formulas over and over again until they begin to stick. We tackled circles today, and we will refresh circles and move on to squares and triangles before adding the 3rd dimension in future lessons.

We started today's session by going over the 25 vocab words that I had given her yesterday. We then worked on math problems from the "easy" section of mixed practice problems in the book. After that, we went through a set of 20 new words and discussed them. She did very well with today's math problems and is doing well with memorizing the words.
