Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today, we started looking at transformations. We were able to finish going through translations and working on practice problems for that transformation. We then began reflections and will continue tomorrow before we begin rotations."
"Today, we went over his homework that I assigned last session. After, we went over an introduction to proofs with triangles. Specifically, we went over triangle postulates like SSS and SAS postulates. The last 30 minutes of the session, I had the student take the Chapter 3 test. I had him walk me through each questions as well as write down all his work so he can focus on organizing all his work in one place. I gave him more problems to work on from the sections we covered today."
"Today, we went over line segment bisectors, angle bisectors, and complementary/supplementary angles. This brought the student ahead in geometry than the pace set out in his class. He completed his homework for the week. We also went over ecosystems and ecology to prepare him for his upcoming biology test."
"Today, we went over some concepts from the last session and also introduced the law of sines and law of cosines. The student is getting more familiar with sine and cosine, and he feels that he simply needs more practice. I am trying to encourage him to write more things down to make doing problems easier for him."
"Today, we went through practice problems on 3D shapes' lateral area, surface area, and volume for a test the student has the next day. She did fairly well with solving the problems using the respective formulas. I left her with a study guide I shared from online."
"Today, we went through the review concepts thoroughly. I gave her a 3-page note that covers everything, and I strongly recommended that she go through it while preparing for her exam. I recommended that she do her calculations carefully, and revise before submitting her test."
