Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"I began by reviewing fraction arithmetic with the student. He understands it well, and I gave him some homework sheets to reinforce the concepts. We then went over the verbal section and talked about vocabulary strategies and strategies for the sentence completions. Finally, we worked on reading comprehension."
"We did a review of the math concepts that we had been studying during the previous several sessions: long division, converting fractions to decimals and vice versa, and adding/subtracting fractions."
"The first student was very attentive and agreeable today and we were able to make a great deal of progress as a result. I had him complete two diagnostic tests. We reviewed some of the concepts of basic triangle geometry so that he has a bit more preparation for his test on Saturday. The second student took the second part of the lesson. He thinks he did well on the exam and told me he showed his work on the math section, which I was very happy to hear. He wanted some assistance on math homework so as he filled out his worksheet on finding slope of graphic equations, he explained the strategy he was using while I spoke up with occasional pointers about trickier problems (regarding slope of 0, undefined or vertical slope)."
