He had to understand, write, pronounce and translate the vocabulary; relating to visits at the Pharmacy, Bank and Post Office. We role played and created dialogues to summarize what the student learned during this session.

We reviewed the present tense -er verbs and did a lot of verbal drill practice. We then went over irregular -er verbs which have slight stem changes to show the student what these types of changes are and that they are mostly orthographical. She picked them up quite easily. We then covered adverbs of frequency and then did a reading activity to help her get used to seeing texts in French. We finished the lesson by going over the possessive pronouns. Again, I would not normally work so quickly with a student, but the student seems to have a lot of heritage experience.

We worked this session on an introduction to the French language. We worked in how to introduce ourselves, how to greet, and spelling the names. We covered some grammar such as je m'appelle, and je suis and vocabulary with certain French first names, certain international words, and certain nationalities. Pronunciation was mostly basic reading rules, the alphabet letters pronunciation, and nasal sounds in general.
