Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student continues to be working on geometry in class. We briefly covered how to write recursive and explicit series, as we were working on a few weeks ago. Then, we began to cover the geometry proofs she just started working on in class. As this is a new topic and her teacher has not covered it extensively yet, her knowledge of how to write the proofs was limited. There are many theorems that she still needs to learn to be able to solve the questions with more ease, but I think by the end of the session, she had a very good sense for how to approach the problems and how to logic through them. We will continue to work on them."
"We went over the student's last test to do corrections. We spent a while going through the concepts, as well as the actual process of solving the problems algebraically. We also briefly covered several different ways of solving systems of equations and the difference between consistent/inconsistent and dependent/independent systems."
"Did binomial multiplication with FOIL today for algebra. Did volumes of regular pyramids and cones for geometry. The student's calculation speed has definitely improved! Taking our time with the new material to learn the concepts and also learning to trust himself with simple calculating skills!"
"We finished our final exam review. We finished a new packet and looked over more review material. I covered more test taking strategies and practice."
"The student and I prepared for his upcoming algebra II final by studying and practicing polynomial function problems."
"This was the final session before the student's exam. We continued with systems of equations and inequalities. The student should do very well on his exam."
