Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on conversational Spanish by playing a board game. We practiced the "parts of the body" song and the " days of the week " song. We continued to learn names of new animals."
"During this session, the student and I continued with our restaurant unit. We reviewed vocab and practiced how to order food at a restaurant. The student worked on the pronunciation for some of the words. He is to study his vocabulary words over his two-week spring break."
"We reviewed the basics from previous lessons (introductions, how are you, phrases for grocery store). We then ran through the numbers through 100. We did question words (what, who, how...), days of the week and some routine verbs."
"Today we looked over prepositions and their usage. I helped the student complete a practice worksheet and promised to send him the link to a website where he could practice using prepositions correctly. We also started looking over irregular verbs. He is learning quickly and promises to practice."
"We introduced Subject Pronouns in Spain and explained the difference in use between Spain and Hispanoamerica. Verna will have to learn to conjugate the verb "ser" for the next time. We also introduced the numbers until 31."
"Today we started checking the mistakes of the biography that the student wrote, and I answered some questions that he had on grammar. Then we talked about the headlines of the news. We need to work with the genre of the words while talking. He uses very good the tenses except for the verb to be, which I know is confusing, so we are going to practice it every day. I saw a lot of progress when he wrote the biography. He is very clear in his thoughts and in the way he writes. I am very happy with his progress."
