PASSAGE
While DNA holds the genetic blueprint for life, it is RNA that acts as the versatile molecular workhorse, translating that blueprint into functional proteins. This process, known as gene expression, involves several types of RNA. Messenger RNA (mRNA) carries a transcribed copy of a gene's code from the nucleus to the ribosome. At the ribosome, ribosomal RNA (rRNA) forms the catalytic core of the protein-synthesis machinery. Finally, transfer RNA (tRNA) is responsible for reading the mRNA code and ferrying the corresponding amino acids to the ribosome to be assembled into a polypeptide chain. Without these coordinated actions of different RNA molecules, the genetic information in DNA would remain inert.
The author's central idea that RNA is a 'versatile molecular workhorse' is supported by which detail?
