Vibecoders Club: Create a Video Game with AI

Designing and playing video games is as fun as it gets—but writing and debugging code? Not so much. That’s why students love Vibecoders Club, where they team up with artificial intelligence to bring their game ideas to life. Using free AI tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft MakeCode Arcade, plus expert guidance, students will create, code, and customize their very own video game—all while learning important skills in computer logic and prompt engineering. Over five action-packed sessions, learners will: Brainstorm and design their game’s story and gameplay Develop JavaScript code in MakeCode Arcade with AI’s help Debug and improve their code using ChatGPT’s free version Add exciting features and challenges through iteration Design unique graphics to make their game visually stand out By the end of the class, students won’t just have a finished game—they’ll know how to work creatively with AI to build and improve digital projects.
