Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We read two beginning Spanish books and then reviewed the verb estar and de la or del for his upcoming quiz."
"We looked at gustar, clothing vocab, tener + que + infinitive, ir + a + infinitive, colors, sentence construction, and quiz correction."
"Today we started by going over the Spanish words for different areas of a city (airport, library, school, etc.) and then we finished out the class by learning body parts."
"Today, the student and I completed another lesson. We began with a quick conversational review over the date, day of the week, months, and ordinal numbers. We are reinforcing vocabulary terms and regularly using preterite construction in our warm-up questions. We are working together on responding using the correct subject pronoun and using the correct personal ending. He occasionally confuses the subject pronouns when he's asking a question or responding, but working off the sheet has helped him choose the correct conjugation when speaking. We worked on translations today and incorporated verbs from his sheets and flashcards. I've asked him to continue to review his flashcards on his own to help build his vocabulary base."
"Today, we reviewed description vocabulary and when to use ser and estar. We also did some speaking activities. The student's attitude was very positive. He has one handout to complete for next time."
"Today, we started with gerunds, and the students did a great job. They conjugated the verbs without any problem and made really good examples; it was an easy topic for them. I am proud of both of them. I showed them at the beginning how to do the exercises, and they continued completing the different tasks that I gave them."
