## Session Summaries by Geometry Tutors

Writing proofs regarding segments. Writing regarding congruent angles. Finished two homework assignments
The student and I worked on problems involving two parallel lines and a traversal. We talked about alternate interior/exterior angles, corresponding, and same side angles.
Introductions, then worked and completed a homework assignment on angles and algebraic equations. The student is a very bright young lady, but struggling with this course at her new school.
In this session, we prepared for the student's final exam. We covered ratios and proportions within a triangle given parallel and perpendicular segments. We reviewed the basic trig functions and solved for parts of triangles. Circles were covered and the relationships that exist with various segments. We also covered how the arcs and the various angles relate. The session went very well.
The student and I reviewed for her final exam on June 2nd, by working problems from a study guide. Overall, the student did very well on most problems, but found herself challenged with algebraic components (i.e. completing the square). I suggested that she review all the formulas from the formula sheet before the exam and go over various geometric concepts.
The student has the geometry exams this week, and he wanted to go over proofs. At the start of the lesson, he told me that he had no idea how to do triangle proofs. By the end of the lesson, he was finishing proofs on his own. He knew most of the material already and needed some confidence.
