I am a teacher because I enjoy helping children find success. I want my students to experience meaningful, interesting learning that applies to their lives. I believe that this can be accomplished through the use of hands-on/minds-on activities, cooperative learning, and integrated curriculum, and, when possible, technology and the internet.

My history as an experienced mentor, and a current student myself, has taught me the value of helping fellow students feel empowered and successful. I know the meaning of hard work, and have learned how to overcome challenges in my own academic career, and I want to share that knowledge!
