Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today, we continued our review of vectors and dynamics. We completed some practice questions for vectors, inclined planes, tension forces of static objects, elevator questions, and "tug of war" problems."
"Today, we covered the topics of nucleic acid structures, DNA replication/transcription/translation, and DNA mutations. She seemed to have a good grasp on the concepts that we reviewed. Mainly, she needs to work on memorization of certain structures and facts. Before our next session, she will review the remaining pages of her assigned chapter and will start with the practice problems in the textbook."
"Today, we covered unit conversion in chemistry. The student was able to pick up material after working on them together. The more difficult unit conversions were harder for him, but it will become easier after more practice."
"Today, we did a bit of review for her upcoming exam on Thursday. She is struggling with stoichiometry, but after reviewing some problems, I feel as though she is ready for her exam. She just needs to slow down her thinking process and identify what the questions are asking so that she does not make any mistakes. Good luck on your exam."
"Today, we did some final review for his unit one retake test. We found the unit calendar on the Google classroom site and we were able to go back over all the notes and retake review quizzes for all the sections on the test. All that is left to be done is the retake contract, and then actually sitting for the test."
"Today, we did the calculations for two labs. The first lab involved projectile motion and Newton's first law. Free Body Diagrams were utilized, as well as F=ma to describe force and acceleration on a paper airplane. The second lab involved calculations with static and kinetic coefficients of friction. Many practical example were analyzed."
