Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over the Michael Addition Reaction, Robinson Reaction and Dieckmann Reaction. We also reviewed the Claisen and Aldol reactions in general."
"The student completed a short assignment for chemistry as well as a 60 question review. We focused on period table trends and redox reactions."
"The student and I went over her chemistry assessment test in anticipation of the upcoming exam. I assigned her practice test 4 for the SAT."
"Today, we completed some relationship comparisons for E field, V, potential energy, kinetic energy, and results from Newton's 2nd law. We compared the difference in potential at a point with the E field resulting at the same point and discussed how each is examined differently based on whether it is a vector or a scalar."
"Today, we covered compounds, elements, heterogeneous and homogeneous mixtures, and physical and chemical properties. He did very well in understanding each concept and was able to tell the difference between compounds, elements, and mixtures. He struggled slightly in understanding the difference between mixtures and solutions. By creating a set definition for each, he was able to apply the concepts to the homework he was assigned. Overall, he has a positive attitude towards chemistry and is able to complete his assigned homework with no problem."
"Today, we covered equilibrium expressions, including what the meaning of the reaction quotient is and what the equilibrium constant means. A sample practice problem was also covered during the session."
