"The student and I continued working out of an algebra workbook that her mother bought. She is doing fine."
"Went over topics for the student's and math final. Gave her several questions to ask her math teacher. Next session, Sunday at 1 p.m."
"The student has finals coming up this week and really wanted to go over Algebra. We went over her old test. We went over ways on how to do the problems/memorize any formulas she needs to know to solve them."
"The student has an exam scheduled for tomorrow on exponential equations. We worked through the study guide. We reviewed translating, identifying end behaviors, and domain and range."
"During this session, the student and I reviewed the worksheet for her upcoming test. She had a great understanding of all of the concepts and only had trouble with matrix subtraction. We worked through a few extra problems dealing with this to give her some more practice, and now she knows what she needs to work on. We finished the material fairly early, so we then found some additional problems to practice for the next chapter - we would have worked on those in the next session. It is such a joy to work with her because of her cheerful, positive attitude, and I know she will do absolutely spectacularly on her semester test."
"The student has an exam coming up, so he wanted to focus the session on finishing up some review problems. We went over practice problems on graphing linear, quadratic, and absolute value functions; finding direct variation equations; and finding inverse variation equations. Once he felt prepared for the exam, we decided to move ahead to the next chapter and worked on deductive reasoning to find patterns in sequences. We particularly focused on arithmetic sequences and how to create equations to find any term of a sequence."
