Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we covered dehalogenation, H2SO4, PBr3, and mechanisms. The student got a 94 on his third exam!"
"The student completed her end-of-course exam for Science today. We will meet again on July 9th to review scores and wrap up any loose ends for the semester."
"We went over gas laws and solutions. We reviewed all the homework problems and all the practice quizzes for both chapters."
"We worked through some kinetics problems (mostly first order rate reactions) and moved on to equilibrium problems. The student should take some time to practice her math skills, as the second semester of Chemistry uses a lot more math than the first semester. The student will have a test on Monday."
"We worked through the student's AP physics study guide. We covered finding the average acceleration and velocity/ distance. We also covered kinematics problems with different accelerations. She was very comfortable with the math, and was prepared for the session. She stated that she understands more now than she did before, and feels prepared for her test tomorrow."
"We worked through the student's assignment, which concentrated on Forces. Overall, she seems more confident in her understanding of this concept, making connections more quickly than last time. She did still need some direction, but it was a marked improvement. We did not cover any new strategies in this session, but reviewed the strategies introduced in the last session to further imprint them. The student has a quiz on this material on either Monday or Tuesday, so we may meet once more to review the concepts a final time."
