Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We began and spent most of session going over and redoing his math problems from previous homework assignments to receive full credit. We concluded session making his vocabulary flash cards and practicing them once over."
"We covered logarithmic functions today, and how they are inversely related to exponential functions. I showed the student the process to handing equations with the variable in the exponent by using logarithmic reduction, and using basic log identities."
"We primarily reviewed for an upcoming homework assignment today. The concepts covered included a review of relative frequencies and cumulative relative frequencies which we covered in week 1. We also examined measures of central tendency and measures of spread. She appears to understand the concepts that we reviewed. Then, we explored how the data would change if an error was made in a value included in a data set. However, after reviewing what we were attempting to achieve with this exercise she appeared to be clear on the utility of this particular thought problem."
"Today we started studying for the student's Geometry final. Overall, she was very focused and put in a good amount of work. The review was fantastic, she had no trouble remembering our past reviews."
"This meeting centered on multiple regression. We went over the basics of when this analysis is used and why, as well as the assumptions involved. Then we worker on the assignment in the student's book. This involved working with regression analysis. We were able to get through the first part of the assignment and decided to meet on Wednesday, to finish it up."
"We finished covering probability, including binomial distribution, and worked on trigonometric identities (double angles, angle sums, etc.). The student grasped the probability concepts."
