"The student and I covered key issues 1 and 2 from Chapter 7 ("ethnicities") in his textbook. We will finish the chapter next week."
"The students remembered the material we went over last lesson well. They each wrote a fictional story using some real facts about their favorite presidents. Both are very creative, and they write beautifully. They also located where they have been in the world on a map as well as where they would like to go. We worked on spelling and math drills, and we compared different kinds of money."
"We read about colonial times, as we've been doing. This time, we read about potters and candlemakers. We then read a bit about early settlements. We completed a worksheet on butter making, including elements of poetry in the lesson, and read a realistic fiction book, "Just Grace." We ended by playing a game of concentration with idiom cards."
