Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today, the student and I: -reviewed homework which covered limits and differential equations -reviewed geometry which covered external angles and polygons"
"The student has a quiz on Wednesday that she wanted to review for. She said she understood the first sections in the chapter that they covered which dealt with angles made by the intersection of a line with two parallel lines. In the past day or so of lectures, she said they were covering how to graph a line, the equations of lines and how to determine the equation of a line when given certain information. She had homework on this topic which served as a guide for our session. She really didn't seem to have much of a problem with most of the information. The only thing that she needed help with were word problems that asked for you to get information from a table and then determine what the number would be in the future. We also spent a brief amount of time looking over her practice problems for her chemistry quiz/ test that she has coming up this week too. She did well on the questions that we covered and she didn't seem to have any trouble knowing how to answer the other questions that remained on the sheet."
"Went over his geometry test and help him understand the mistakes he made. The student is doing much better with geometry than he was a few weeks ago."
"Worked on worksheet involving the topic of proofs for congruent triangles, specifically involving the subtraction postulate and supplementary and complementary angles. Also worked on questions from the assessment exam review booklet."
"We went over dividing radicals, and I taught the student the next concept she will be covering in class, trigonometry. Her efficiency in solving is outstanding now, and I hope it continues for the rest of the semester so she can reach her goal of getting an A in the class!"
"We covered the Pythagorean Theorem, sines, cosines, tangents, and some additional equation and multiplication practice. The student did pretty well at everything. We did some timed tests, worked together on some, and he worked alone on some. We did a big mixture so he could hear me explain my thoughts, and he could rely on his own thoughts. He did better with Pythagorean Theorem and sines, cosines, and tangents than I expected. He did very well today."
