Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed for a quarter exam, discussing the following topics: energy, electrostatics, circuits, and magnetism."
"The student and I went over one of her physics tests she took in class and covered uniform circular motion and forces out of equilibrium."
"We went over topics for her final. She struggled a bit on combination circuits but seemed to understand everything else very well."
"Luckily for physics she has been able to make up most of the missed material, with the exception of the topics regarding energy and momentum. We will continue to cover this. In her exams she lost quite a few points on historical physics questions, not so much conceptual stuff. We will review this more before the final."
"We covered mainly Energy and Inclined Planes, I felt that the student made good progress in terms of the Force concepts, and now it was time to move on and apply those to harder concepts. The student was very attentive, and great to work with. Some strategies included were the same as before: remembering to always draw a free body diagram, label axis, etc. She has a packet that I told her to finish before Friday's session, and from there I can really start to move on into electromagnetics and waves. I did see progress in her understanding of the force concepts, so that is great. I think she will make more progress as we go on, and we will get back the scores from her last packet soon."
"In our previous session, we reviewed for both students' exams taking place on June 1. We reviewed basic kinematic and free fall problems and I answered specific questions they had. Overall, it was a productive session."
