Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student told me that her World History test went well, and that her Chemistry test was mostly good (a few hard questions but also many easy questions). We went over her Geometry homework on angle bisectors, medians, and altitudes of triangles. She did well. We also started to study her new vocabulary words. Her only remaining homework (as of Thursday) was to make a mnemonic card for English and review a current event for Comm Apps."
"Conditional statements - bi-conditional statements, converse, inverse, contra-positive, complimentary and supplementary angles. Solving proofs using distribution property. Venn diagrams."
"The student and I covered his homework last Wednesday. We started a new lesson in geometry that includes area and perimeters of various polygons. I plan to revisit this subject during future sessions."
"We went through the student's geometry test review. I explained the parts that he missed on his test and asked him to do them again to make sure he understood them. He did perfect on the corrections. He is doing well."
"The student and I reviewed his ACT Math homework tonight, and then we reviewed for the Reading and Science sections. He seemed to take to the Science questions pretty quickly. I assigned practice in both sections."
"The student and I covered the most recent chapter that she has learned in class, as she stated that she did not understand what she has learned. We created flashcards for concepts that she did not remember. When she and I began to go over the exam review sheet, she could solve the problems easily with prompting. She remembered when to apply each concept. Additionally, she did well with remembering basic algebra principles. She was eager to learn and improve."
