Session Summaries by Executive Functioning Tutors

Kirkland, WA Executive Functioning tutoring
Today, we went over both Physics and Algebra. For Algebra, we covered conics (ellipses, circles, and hyperbolas). The majority of the work was spent working on how to get hyperbolas into the correct form. The rest of the time we spent reviewing for Physics. The homework was simple, so we covered other bases as far as getting ready for tests on Monday and Tuesday. There are a few types of problems that will most likely be on the test and we talked about that. The student needs to study tomorrow and go over those problems again so that she's prepared for the test; she also needs to review her "formula sheet" so that time is not an issue on the test.

The student has a test on Monday so we worked on factoring by grouping and simple factoring, solving for zeros in parabola functions, and graphing parabolas. She did well, and I am excited to see how she will perform on her next test. She is doing a lot better in her math class and went from a C average to an 87! Our goal is to work our way to an A in the class.
