"The student has done a fantastic job with her multiplication facts. She is seconds away from completing them in less than 5 min. We worked on numerous math facts such as dividing by decimals, fractions, and order of operations. The student has done a great job!"
"The student is making excellent progress with her multiplication times tables; she is almost fluent in one through 12. She's doing well multiplying fractions also. We also worked on multiplying decimals, which she did well on. We ended the session with a division worksheet."
"The student is making good progress and is excited to play some of the math games that his mother bought. We are still working on his math facts, and he is beginning to see the pattern with the numbers. We will continue to work on the fact families."
"The student is making such great growth it amazes me! Today, we reviewed rounding and estimation and went right into adding fractions with unlike denominators. She has taken great notes in her journal and refers to them frequently, which is a great study skill. Today, we focused on converting from mixed fractions to improper fractions and back and forth. She was doing well with understanding the steps. I challenged her with being able to add mixed fractions with unlike denominators, and she was not shy of the challenge. We will work on word problems involving fractions next time and move into algebraic expressions."
"The student is on summer break. This week we have gone over math word problems and I gave her a few multiplication speed drills for 3s and 4s. She did well. We will continue on that next week."
"The student is reading "Mr. Lemoncello's Library." We read a chapter together, and he had a little difficulty reading this book since it is at a reading level of 4.5. He also worked on two reading passages, some vocabulary drills, and grammar worksheets. He did great! I assigned him some homework to finish before the next session."
