We talked about what to do when you're dissolving something in an acidic or basic solution, or when you're dissolving it into a solution that already has some ions present. I went over how to set up the Ksp expression and compared it to equilibrium expressions we have seen before. Overall, the student seemed to grasp the concepts well.

The student and I finished up reviewing the material that was covered on her first exam, specifically going over species concepts, types of speciation such as the differences between allopatric and sympatric speciation, and finally chromosomal speciation. We also started reviewing photosynthesis, the Calvin cycle, C4 and CAM plants and water potential in driving solute movement in phloem. I see noticeable progress and the student seems excited!
