How can a tutor assist you in conquering GRE?
The GRE, also known as the Graduate Record Examination, is a test whose score is often needed by graduate schools for the admissions process. The test takes 3.5 hours to complete, and it has four sections. The sections includes verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, experimental/research, and analytical writing. Varsity Tutors offers support in finding independent tutors who can offer guidance in test prep for this exam.
The experimental or research section can be verbal or quantitative, and it is not scored, but it is sent to the schools you apply to. The analytical writing section is divided into an issue task and an argument task. The issue task may take you approximately thirty minutes, and the argument task requires you to critique an argument. For verbal reasoning, you will need to know how to critically reason with and read passages of text, identify certain vocabulary words, and analyze passages of text for rhetorical passages. You will also need to learn how to read critically, complete texts logically, and be able to pick out the word that fits into the contextually correct sentence. The quantitative section of the exam will test your ability of mathematical reasoning, as well as complete high school-level math. You must also know how to problem solve, compare quantitative solutions, and interpret data.
