Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student worked on completing some of her worksheets for class and then began research for her project on Colombia. I tried to point her toward more-interesting points about the country. She is a very bright student."
"The student had his final algebra test today because his teacher is leaving early for break. So we worked on the material he has to know for his geography final--events and people."
"We worked on the student's geography study guide. His exam is on Thursday. Next session is on Tuesday at 8pm."
"Completed 4 pages (front and back each) of math homework. She says her teacher gives her homework on Friday to be completed by the next week."
"The student and I reviewed the one chapter that he was assigned to read from last week. We discussed using complete sentences to answer comprehension questions. Then, he read for 60 minutes in 20-minute intervals. He was assigned to finish the book that we were reading for homework."
"Today, the student and I continued on the subject of chemical reactions as they apply to reduction and oxidation of ketones and aldehydes. We discussed strategies to learn how these molecules react as well as took the time to work through some problems together. The session was very positive! A couple times we had to step back from the problem at hand and discuss why things were happening the way they were or why things were classified the way they were. She will continue on in her studies, and we will tentatively reconvene for a session next week."
