How can a Anatomy tutor help you?

With an understanding of anatomy, you may better understand the various functions of our bodies. Early anatomy focuses on the structures of the major body systems and their individual functions. You may need to be able to identify the major organs, tissues, and cells, and understand how each system depends on one another. You have to memorize a great deal of information and be capable of recalling it as necessary, which calls for strategic efforts and a lot of time. Contact the Varsity Tutors educational directors in Jacksonville, Florida, so we may find you an expert tutor to try to help you get ahead of the curve in anatomy.

Varsity Tutors may find you a tutor in Jacksonville who may take all of your anatomy goals into account to create an individualized study plan just for you. The educational directors accomplish this by matching you with a tutor based on your personal learning style, your current understanding of the course, your curriculum, and other factors that may play a role in your tutoring needs. From there, your tutor may assess your strengths and weaknesses to develop a plan that focuses on the concepts you need assistance with.

We continued discussion of the innervation of the GI tract - extrinsic and intrinsic pathways, and the specific effectors. His textbook has very detailed diagrams of neural circuits, and we looked up a few things that were not specified. The myenteric plexus lies in a very thin layer of connective tissue between the 2 layers of muscularis externa; it sends efferent signals in response to input from the submucosal plexus; the submucosal plexus innervates the muscularis mucosa and the mucosal epithelium, as well as the circular layer of the externis; the autonomic nervous system innervates the externis separately, and there is also collateral innervation. The student drew a master diagram of the tissue layers and the innervation, mostly from memory, to make sure he understood it. We also compared the exocrine and endocrine secretions of the gastric mucosa.

Today, the student and I continued reviewing his A&P material. We started talking about the GI system, mostly reviewing the anatomy of the parts and their functions. Overall, the session went well, and he did not have any questions at the end. He will review his professor's lectures before the next session and come with any questions.

The current topic in the student's class is blood and blood vessels. We went over some basic information and then went through his take-home test and essay questions. Because he has such a huge amount of information to learn each week and so many written assignments, we sort of have to rush through the topics. We did a brief overview, so he would hopefully have enough information to complete the assignments on his own, but he has the option of also scheduling an online session for this week if need be.

We reviewed the shoulder joint and upper arm muscles. I can tell the student has been working hard and I noticed that he does really well with repetition. I have been pop quizzing him along the way to help solidify concepts.

I reviewed the student's government study guide by asking him multiple choice practice questions from an AP government test preparation book and asking him key vocabulary which he struggled with yesterday. For anatomy, we reviewed integumentary, skeletal, muscular, cell physiology, and the nervous system terms and key concepts. I highlighted the terms which I highly recommend for him to review in more depth prior to his anatomy final and incorporated labelled diagrams into his study guides for his review. He is motivated to perform well on his finals, and I believe he is more confident in government than anatomy at this time.
