I love working one-on-one with a student because I like being able to help them find their strengths and that is more easily accomplished through tutoring. I believe learning should be fun. The Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) is a standardized test that is used as a factor in the admissions process at numerous private schools. The ISEE is divided into a lower level, a middle level, and an upper level. The lower level is given to students who are entering into grades five and six. The middle level is offered to students who are entering into grades seven and eight. Finally, the upper level is available to students who are entering grades nine through twelve.
The ISEE takes approximately three hours to complete and consists of five different sections. These include verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, reading comprehension, math achievement, and an essay.
The verbal reasoning section covers sentence completion and synonyms. Quantitative reasoning includes probability and data analysis, geometry, algebraic concepts, and numbers and operations. The reading comprehension section focuses on figurative language, organization and logic, vocabulary, supporting ideas, and style. The math achievement section emphasizes data analysis and probability, measurement, geometry, algebraic concepts, and whole numbers. Finally, the essay section requires students to write an essay.
Preparing for the ISEE can be challenging because it requires your child to know a great deal of information across a variety of different subject areas. If you want to try to help your child be potentially and as prepared as possible for the ISEE, you should connect them with a private tutor. Varsity Tutors could help your child find a professional ISEE tutor in St. Charles, MO, who could offer them engaging study sessions to make the most use of their time.
A personal ISEE tutor in St. Charles may be able to cater sessions to your child's preferences in a way that they won't get in a traditional classroom setting. Their tutor can identify their strengths and weaknesses and develop a study plan that focuses on the areas they need the most help in.
