Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In this session, we worked on a homework that covered confidence interval estimation for a sample mean and sample proportion. We also had minimum sample size calculations for estimating a confidence interval around a mean and a proportion. We have another session schedule for later today."
"Reviewed first test. The student appeared to be struggling with finding the intercepts, finding the domain, and finding ranges of functions. More practice is needed in these areas. Additional practice problems should be worked where the intercepts, domain, and range are found."
"Reviewed for test. Completed chapter review in textbook and worksheet on rewriting literal equations. He wanted extra help in determining equations with no solutions, infinitely many solutions, and absolute value equations with no solutions."
"Reviewed implicit differentials and tangent and normal lines. Excellent attitude. Practice implicit forms of derivatives. Excellent material."
"Reviewed integration by parts as well as went over the first midterm for the class. Definitely seems to benefit more from the regular practice compared to cramming for the exam. We could use a little bit more energy during the session, so I'll try to be more engaging."
"Reviewed material for upcoming midterm. Spent most of our time on linear regression and understanding how to conceptualize and explain formulas. Last time, the assignment we worked on was given 100%, so we wanted to work on other areas that were previously taught weeks prior. We looked over another example or two to help further the understanding of explaining the linear regression equation."
