Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student indicated today's math lesson was difficult. We reviewed percent estimations and completed homework together. We reviewed the Chapter 4 test and began discussing reboot concepts 4-8 and 4-10. We discussed the student's experience taking the ISEE for the first time. She reported overall good performance on both verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning sections."
"The student informed me he has a final next week on Tuesday and Wednesday. We came up with a study game plan. Then we went over how to calculate surface areas of 3D composite shapes. He informed me he was having issues understanding these problems. We will continue to work on this next session."
"The student is a bright 8th grader who is working on two-step inequalities. He worked through the problems and only made minor mistakes, which we went over. He has the process down, so there are no worries regarding his math. He also worked on vocabulary and To Kill a Mockingbird. Regarding his novel, he has a solid understanding of the first 6 chapters, as we discussed them together. Then, I quizzed him on each chapter."
"The student is a bright and attentive student. This was my first time working with him. He's in eighth grade. We worked on comparing functions, linear equations, and comparing the slopes and interpreting the data. Then, we worked on actual graphing of slopes, in addition to predicting graphs based on situational data. He also had a history test to study for, and I quizzed him on the three branches of government. He seems to be quite solid on all the information now."
"The student is a bright student. She is a self-motivated person and likes to do well in school. During the session, we worked on imaginary numbers and radicals. Also, we got to work on a couple of problems from the practice test book. By the end of the session, she felt more comfortable with the material."
"The student is a delightful and intelligent young girl. We reviewed geometric shapes and angles. We also reviewed math word problems and went over concepts and rules to remember. She then completed a math worksheet from school."
