Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student had trouble completing some of the questions I assigned him last time, so we went over them today, translating word for word. We then reviewed the vocabulary he had studied in advance of today's session and started compiling a list of the vocabulary he will be responsible for on his final exam. He is to complete that list by the next time we meet."
"We covered introductions, numbers to 100, days, months of the year, how to write the date, the sounds of the alphabet / spelling words and how to answer common questions. He didn't have his book, but he told me what they had been doing in school. I didn't see any grades or progress notes."
"We covered telling time in Spanish, talked about stem-changing verbs, and talked about ser vs. estar. The student has done a good job of retaining information and learning the fundamentals of the language. I have provided her with extra practice on telling time."
"We worked mainly on the indicative vs the subjunctive, especially with adverbial clauses. We looked over the material for the student's next quiz and looked at exercises we can use to prepare for that."
"We covered the vocabulary of unit 6. We defined all of the words in Spanish and found a picture for each word from Google images."
"The student and I looked over mistakes on past quizzes to prepare for an upcoming quiz. We also reviewed vocabulary and rehearsed for a skit presentation."
