Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over some of the homework which focused on differentiating between the preterite and imperfect tenses. This is one of the trickier things to get the hang of, and he will definitely need more practice, but this was a good introductory exercise to get him thinking about how the tenses function differently."
"The student and I spent most of the session working on direct and indirect object pronouns. This is a new grammatical concept for her, so I spent a good part of the session on what role direct objects and indirect pronouns play in a sentence, and then, how to use them correctly in a Spanish sentence. This time, she brought notes she had taken in class, which was very helpful. We also spent part of the session reviewing new vocabulary words and reviewing past/present conjugations- this still is the area where she seems to struggle the most. I encouraged her to spend some time reviewing regular and irregular conjugations, as well as direct and indirect object pronouns, for her test this week. Overall, great session- she seemed very energized."
"We went over the student's vocab and informal, affirmative commands with direct object pronouns. She got better with her vocab as we continued to practice. She is also pretty good at conjugating the command verbs."
