Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student improved greatly on his most recent practice test! Looking forward to see greater improvements in the Quantitative section!"
"In today's session, we discussed exponents, logs, circles, a bit of Pythagoras, and mixtures. Next up will be a split of verbal (comprehension) and quantitative (percentages and work rates). I recommended that the student start a notebook of questions and solutions, as if they were homework assignments, organized by subject, neatly written, to keep as a reference. The act of carefully writing them out tends to help cement to knowledge in place."
"The student completed the algebra worksheet practice that was assigned for homework. We reviewed the few missed questions from the worksheets. We then did ten of the problem solving questions and 11 data sufficiency questions. The student is doing well, but needs to build her confidence. She is getting questions correct (performs better on data sufficiency than problem solving), but lingers over the answers, unsure if she has done the work correctly. That confidence will come with practice, but she needs to do the practice. For homework, she is going to do her first ever full-length, timed quantitative test."
