Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"For our first session, we discussed the student's goals and preparation leading up to our session. She's been taking a Veritas course. The student has a firm understanding of concepts and algebraic processes from her prep course, but she sometimes has difficulties with harder problems. We discussed utilizing answer choices to help guide her, and I showed her how she can convert algebra to arithmetic to help solve more challenging problems."
"I focused on analyzing questions of medium to hard difficulty. I covered percents, Venn diagrams, rates, ratios, proportions, linear equations, mean, median, geometry, coordinate plane, and number properties. Overall, the student is doing well conceptually, but we will also focus on his speed and accuracy."
"The student did some difficult reading comprehension, then dove into tough word problems. Most of all, we covered the basics of triangles and the special right triangles. Next math section we'll do the "special families" + circles and rectangles."
