Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This session we went over the vocabulary learned last Monday. She remembered everything with such ease. We moved onto the next topics which focused on: days of the week, months of the year, numbers from 0-2000, the alphabet, and how to properly write the date in Spanish. I was able to introduce her to a lot of topics in one session because she was able to manage the material. We practiced a few exercises in order to reinforce what she was taught. Her homework is to practice the new vocabulary and the material we covered."
"The student took Spanish two years ago in sixth grade but did not take it last year. We reviewed regular verbs and a few stem changing verbs as well as commands. He really has retained a lot of vocabulary from two years ago and he quickly remembered words with a minimum amount of coaching. I will be sending him some additional practice for some irregular yet high frequency verbs."
"We worked on "estar+emotion/condition" constructions this week. They are doing better with remembering the vocabulary every week!"
"The student is very good at conjugating regular verbs but was needing a little help with stem-changing verbs. He made huge strides after only 1.5 hours of practice conjugating and I expect to have many more sessions with him."
"We went over what the student learned in class this week which included food vocabulary and also future tense with voy + infinitive. Also, we went over our goodbye song. She is struggling most with speaking and listening comprehension. I suggested she practice speaking more outside of the classroom and tutoring sessions. Also, she should try to listen to music or watch movies in Spanish even with the subtitles."
"We studies vocabulary (food, color, sports, etc.) and grammar (like, dislike, good at, not good at, etc.). The student is very prompt answering many questions and remembers past work very well. We will continue studying more grammar and vocabulary in our next session."
