"During this session, we covered drug bioavailability, bioequivalents, and drug metabolism within the body including how drugs get from their original route of administration to their target tissue. The student, because of her job working in a veterinary clinic had a strong understanding of the material."
"We continued to prepare for the student's upcoming science test, studying vocabulary and discussing precision. Her teacher expects her to write her name, date and use complete sentences and correct spelling on all assignments."
"The student had a test the following day in her Matter and Energy course, so we spent most of the session reviewing for it. The test was on the basics of chemical bonding, naming compounds, and being able to draw dot diagrams. I quizzed her on terms, which she knew very well, and then I gave her a few problems to complete involving naming and drawing dot diagrams. She did well in naming compounds and noticing the difference between ionic and covalent compounds. She had a bit of trouble understanding how to figure out the number of valence electrons available for each compound that could be used to complete the dot diagram. I went through a few problems with her before she was able to complete one on her own, but once she understood she did very well. We spent the rest of the session working on some of her Algebra homework that involved factoring and using FOIL. She had a pretty good grasp on the material and only needed help with a few of the more complex problems."
"During today's session, we covered topics related to the articular and nervous system. The student has an upcoming exam on these topics and I wanted to make sure she was prepared. Some of the specific subjects we went over include joint types/ classifications, major joints in the body, functions, clinical correlates, meninges, spinal cord anatomy, etc. She seems to be doing well. Her study habits are improving and she has learned how to incorporate study tools and resources into her regimen that help her. I provided her with a few links for flashcards on the material and some practice questions. This was a great session!"
"For this session, the student and I focused on the chapter five content. In preparation for the session, he wrote out detailed chapter summary notes and defined important terms. He sent this information to me prior to our session so I could review it. We worked through all of this key chapter content and discussed real life examples of these concepts, as well. We also spent a bit of time discussing the factors that influence how a trainer writes out a proper client program. He continues to excel in understanding this content!"
"I assigned a mock exam. The student needs to work on memorizing the details. He sometimes misreads the questions and answers. He had a positive attitude. I went over the exam with him and advised him to be more careful on the wording of the question. We will continue to work on this next session."
