Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over graphing equations like x2/(x3-2x+1). We went over solving for the horizontal asymptotes, vertical asymptotes, x-intercepts, etc."
"We went over ways to calculate parameters on triangles with obtuse and acute angles. I also gave her some practice problems for her to work on her proofs."
"We covered Trig functions and Trig Identities (Pythagorean identities, even/odd identities, transformation of 90 degrees or one half pi, and traditional sec, csc, cot identities) We also covered Log functions and arithmetic."
"Todays session with this student went really well. We spent our time working on trig identities. His biggest challenge so far has been with him catching up from being away from school. He is doing very well and is now caught up. For this session we worked on a lot of problems to get him used to how they work and he caught on very quickly. He had a great attitude like always. We talked a lot about how to decide how to handle trig identities and the best way to approach the problems. He had a bunch of extra problems to finish for homework. I think that since he is now caught up, we can move forward and get him ahead of the class which will help him immensely."
"We covered the details of complex quadratic equations and the properties of parabolas. After practicing a variety of problems, we went on to cover tangent lines, ellipses, and hyperbolas briefly. The student was enthusiastic and understood the concepts well."
"The concepts covered were horizontal asymptotes, vertical asymptotes, sketching graphs of functions, finding x-intercept and y-intercept. The student was doing pretty well with these topics as I taught him the concepts previously. He was very confident during today's session."
