Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student has her final this week, so we worked on her review packet to prepare for that. We tried to cover the material that we hadn't covered through the semester: SAS, ASA, and circumcenter, incenter, centroid, etc. I answered any questions she had, and laid out a basic plan of attack, to study specific things I felt she should focus on."
"We reviewed the student's Geometry review packet for his final tomorrow. We worked through many proof problems with congruent triangles and theorems related to midpoints/midsegments. We also reviewed the difference between supplementary angles, corresponding angles, complementary angles, obtuse, and acute angles."
"The student and I reviewed both her geometry and chemistry study guides for her upcoming final and identified topics she wanted to review. In addition, we looked at her previous geometry exam/quiz and addressed any errors."
"Worked through chapter review materials. We did not get as far as we wanted, but were looking to spend extra time on certain areas. We will extend the review materials to our next lesson."
"The student and I worked on her homework for winter break, which consisted of practice problems for the state exams. It primarily covered graphing, triangles, and angles. We got about 3/4 of the way through the packet, so we will finish it up during our next session and review the problems we have already done to make sure she knows how to approach each question on her own."
"Our first session went well; we worked on her geometry review and talked about general test taking procedures. We will also begin to focus on her World History and perhaps English classes."
