Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went through sinusoidal graphing and functions. Went through sine, cosine, csc and sec. The student has a steady grasp of the content. I will send notes to him to review before next lesson. This was our first session."
"We went through the chapter of the textbook. We discussed: Domain and range of the function, inverse function, concavity, and quadratic function. He struggled most with finding the domain, range and inverse function of the function. I gave him some extra homework to practice these concepts more. He is quick learner, and he understand the concept that I showed him easily. What he can prepare for the test is to practice more and memorize the formulas."
"We went through the student's videos on parametric equations and inverse functions. This is all material he has seen before for the most part. The only new thing we went over today was how to create parametric equations. He had a few questions, but we worked through a few examples and he should be in good shape."
"We went through the unit circle and what each degree measure stood for. I gave him tips to remember each of the components of that. In addition, we looked at an old quiz, which I need to figure a way to explain it in a way his teacher taught him."
"We went through trigonometric functions on degrees and radians. I explained to the student how to find the trigonometric ratios from 0 to 90 degree in a table and gave him tricks. He seemed to have understood what we went through."
"We worked exclusively on solving f(g(x)) type problems. I provided student with a 4 step process on how to solve and determine if you have the right answer. By the end of the session student was doing a lot better, though still kept forgetting to distribute multipliers or divisors across the entire function. I recommended further practice."
