Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I continued to discuss pertinent grammar topics, engaged in simulated conversation, and practiced various Spanish verb tenses."
"We reviewed the student's advanced placement Spanish syllabus and discussed his educational experience with Spanish to date. He has many years of formal Spanish and it is quickly revealed through his willingness to delve into conversation and ask questions. We reviewed an article assigned for an upcoming class. His Spanish class will be meeting with a group of exchange students from Chile and the assigned article is a focal point of discussion. He was tasked with writing five questions to ask the Chilean exchange students that related to the article. We worked through five questions and he came up with additional questions to have ready. He has a very strong foundation in Spanish. He understands conversation, is inquisitive, and sees himself using Spanish in college and beyond. He will benefit most from practicing conversational Spanish, focusing on diction, accent, and fluidity of verb conjugation."
"It was a fun session today! First, we had an "in-class" session where we reviewed materials from the past and learned a few new words. The new vocab words for the student A were: "who is it?," "me," "come in," "done," and "how much?" Student B and I reviewed the animals and body parts, as well as numbers. The new vocab for her were: "heart" and "who.""
