Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today's session focused on speaking as our main focus. Our session focused on vocabulary with food and using the verb hacer. Our session also covered the vowels and their sounds, we reviewed preterit simple, and our material was a vocabulary list I have provided the student with."
"We continued verb conjugations. The student does well with vocabulary and choosing between verb tenses, but more outside studying is required for her to solidify her memory and recall of all the verb endings."
"We continued with the subjunctive and its applications. After reviewing the material from yesterday's session, we moved forward with the use of the subjunctive with verbs of emotion and proceeded to do some exercises. The student is assimilating and understanding little by little the application of this grammatical figure, which is one of the most complicated to understand for the Anglo speakers. The sessions allow the student to refresh the knowledge of the use of the indicative conjugations and then compare them with the subjunctive."
"We conversed a lot in Spanish during this class, on a number of topics. We also learned how to form the gerund."
"We covered "ser y estar." The students struggles more with masculine and feminine articles, but we will work on that more next time. Attitude is great. We reviewed previous lessons at beginning of the session. I gave them homework to review today's session."
"We covered a lot of conversational Spanish as the student wanted to focus on that. I left him an activity to complete for our next session on an application we downloaded on his phone."
