Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student completed the practice test that we began last week. He obtained a score in the mid 140's--similar to his actual test score. We reviewed the setup and incorrect answers from two logic games, discussed how to approach reading comprehension passages, reviewed incorrect reading comprehension questions, and reviewed incorrect answers from the second arguments section. The student is going to complete a full practice test before we meet on Friday. On Friday we will review sections from that test."
"The student and I first worked on initial set-ups for logic games and the best approaches for different types of games. We then worked through more challenging logical reasoning questions and considered when pre-phrasing answers might be appropriate."
"Discussed new logical reasoning questions and introduced two question types; discussed strategy regarding an upcoming test, and the possibility of diagnostic tests prior to it."
"We did an evaluation on Reading Comprehension, and he is doing better than he needs to in order to get the score he wants. This leaves logical reasoning as the only section of the test where he still requires improvement, so we'll focus there."
"We took a practice exam. The student did well for the first try after being away from studies for so long."
"We worked through some of the practice problems that the student had trouble with, referring back to specific strategies for different types of logical reasoning problems. There were a couple of flaw in the reasoning questions, so she just needs to review common errors for those questions. She also had trouble on some tougher evaluate the argument and principle questions. We worked through those. We ended the session by starting another, more complex linear game. For next time, she will send along another practice set. She'll also finish the logic games problem from today and keep working through the logic games bible."
