I went to Tulane University where I triple majored in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, and Philosophy. I tutor STEM topics, government, and test prep. My philosophy of education is that everyone is unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. After receiving a degree in Biochemistry from NYU, I joined the Peace Corps, where I was assigned to teach high school Math, Science, and English. I loved teaching so much that I stayed to continue teaching and tutoring even after my tour of service had ended. After returning to the US, I received my MPH from Emory University in 2018. Because of my extensive and varied experience, I am willing and able to teach students of all ages and learning styles.

While the focus of my career has been digital marketing, learning and teaching others has always been a pillar of my core values. I was a TA for a Rice University program and have been doing GMAT and SAT prep tutoring through Varsity Tutors off and on since 2020

Growing up in a very test-driven academic environment in China, I was very passionate about studying and developing effective learning methods. As a result, I had always been one of the best students in my school, despite the fierce competition. In 2008, I was selected to be a translator serving Beijing Olympic Games. I had an honor to share Chinese language and culture to American colleagues from Aramark. One year later, I worked in an international hotel and met people from all over the world. I love working with people! I was offered a full-tuition scholarship in an MBA program in the U.S because of my outstanding GMAT score. I scored 720 out of 800 after one month self-study, without any sort of training. As you can see from my personal experience, I constantly raise my own bar and will be happy to help you do so!
