Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I covered the unit circle and radians. We covered finding the radians, coordinates, and tangent of several places on the unit circle. I explained secant, covenant, and tangent. The student was able to use the unit circle to find the six trigonometric functions for points. The student and I also covered how to find the co-terminal. Finally, the student and I went over how to solve the six trigonometric functions given a point on the terminal side."
"During my session with the student, we reviewed the entire chapter about trigonometric functions as she has a quiz. The student did well on most of the material that we covered, however, she needs to get more practice on her own, and I keep telling her to do so. In general I believe that after yesterday's session she should be ready for her test."
"Chapter 1 extra credit worksheet. Difference quotient, parent functions, extrema, even and odd functions."
"We worked on online homework that was about using the unit circle to solve basic trigonometric equations and triangles. Problems required using the sine and cosine of different angles to solve for missing values in the triangles."
"The student used trig functions to determine areas of intersecting circles and angles made by tangent lines to a circle. He also received a personal step-by-step write up of the problems covered, due to the problems' length and complexity."
"Today the student worked on his precalculus module 7 practice test. He completed 15 of 20 questions on parabolas, ellipses, hyperbolas, polar coordinates, and parametric equations."
