Hello! I'm Katherine Crucilla, an experienced educator with over 17 years of teaching and tutoring experience and a Master's in Psychology. I specialize in helping students reach their full potential through customized instruction, encouragement, and evidence-based learning strategies.
I tutor students from elementary through college and adult education in a wide range of subjects including psychology, writing, business, medicine, music, martial arts, and sign language, as well as math, science, and study skills. I also provide college admissions coaching, guiding students through Common App essays, personal statements, and scholarship writing.
My background in psychology allows me to design effective, individualized approaches for learners with ADHD, executive functioning challenges, and processing differences. I focus on both skill development and confidence-building, ensuring that each student feels supported and capable.
As an online instructor and curriculum developer, I excel at transforming complex concepts into engaging, easy-to-understand lessons. My teaching style is structured yet flexible, combining academic rigor with a positive, growth-oriented mindset.
I work with students of all ages and levels, including:
Elementary & Middle School: Reading, writing, math, study skills
High School: Essays, organization, test prep, study strategies
College & Beyond: Psychology, business, law enforcement topics, medicine, music, martial arts, sign language, research, and APA formatting
College Admissions: Common App essays, personal statements, and scholarship writing
Whether you're preparing for exams, strengthening study habits, or pursuing advanced learning in psychology, medicine, the arts, or personal disciplines like martial arts and sign language, I'm here to make learning clear, meaningful, and empowering.
Let's work together to build lasting confidence and academic successone session at a time.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy volunteering in my local community, especially in programs that support youth and education. I also play the cello, which has taught me patience, discipline, and creativity — qualities I bring into my teaching. In my free time, I love exploring new courses and books as part of my lifelong learning journey.
