As an educator with a Master's in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston, I am passionate about fostering a love for reading in elementary and middle school students. With over 2 years of tutoring experience and over 5 years in the classroom, including my recent role as an instructional specialist, I have honed my ability to engage students through differentiated instruction and high-impact strategies. My approach emphasizes collaboration and active learning, incorporating techniques like chants and hand motions to make complex concepts, such as inference and text structure, accessible and enjoyable. I am certified to teach in Texas and hold ESL and GT certifications, ensuring I can meet the diverse needs of my students. I find joy in helping students unlock their potential and develop critical thinking skills, and when I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading and exploring new educational methodologies.
